Hey guys!!!!
So the other night I went to The Pretty Reckless concert at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. They are one of my all time favorite bands so I was so excited to go. This was the third time I’ve seen them play. Once in Chicago at the Beat Kitchen a while back, and then over the summer at Lollapalooza. I can easily say Taylor is my favorite artist to see perform (besides M of course
). I love every single one of her songs and being there while she is performing is a whole different experience. I think what makes it such an amazing show to be at is the way she put everything into her music, I can feel what she’s feeling as she’s singing it!
I also got to meet her before and after the show! I had a VIP ticket so before the show I said hey, got a poster signed, and told her how much I love their music. This was actually my second time meeting them. The first time was at Lollapalooza over the summer. She was so down to earth and sweet both times I talked to her. What I didn’t know was after this most recent show you could also meet her again if you had bought merchandise! Of course, me being such a huge fan, I bought a couple things so I stepped right in line. I let her know I loved hearing her perform the songs from the EP. I’m just waiting for the next album to come out because I can already tell I’m going to love it.
The rock and roll sound from TPR is so refreshing, finally something else, something different than what most artists have been putting out these days. I think it’s awesome how Taylor has stuck true to herself and has done exactly what she wanted to with her music. Not to mention her style is also one of a kind which is probably why Madonna and Lola chose her to be their first Material Girl! She has these amazing shoes I’ve seen her wear at her shows and they are just beautiful, not even kidding. She defines what a Material Girl is, not afraid to be exactly who she is.
After the show my friends and I went out to dinner to have our favorite food, sushi. We reminisced about the experience we just had at the concert. I had an amazing time at the show and already can’t wait for The Pretty Reckless to head back to Chicago, I’ll be at every one of their shows. If you haven’t heard their music everyone should go check it out! It’s incredible.

Taylor was the first Material Girl and it’s such an honor to be able to follow in her footsteps. When she was in the ads for the line, I ripped them out of all my magazines and hung them on my wall. To be honest, they are still up on the wall right behind me!
I loved that she was so different and always loved the idea of the MG line. She was someone that never changed, she’s always been true to herself and she’s proud of it. I think that’s amazing and I love that I can represent the same thing she did.
Much love, Tina
P.S. Here’s a link to some of the songs!
